Our Story

Established by an Act of Parliament

The Ghana Sports Fund Bill was passed by Parliament on 29th December, 2025 (Act 1159), following extensive deliberations and rare bipartisan support from both the Majority and Minority caucuses. It builds on the Ghana Sports Fund Act, 2025, which first established structured sports funding under presidential leadership.

The Fund operates under the Ministry of Sports and Recreation, led by Hon. Kofi Adams. Administrator Dr. David Kofi Wuaku, a seasoned banking and finance professional, leads day-to-day operations with a mandate of transparency, equity, and performance-driven allocation.

The Fund draws from statutory allocations, donations, and parliamentary appropriations - designed as a multi-source, performance-driven development trust.
