The Ghana Sports Fund is governed by a 11-member Board of Directors appointed to ensure transparent, accountable stewardship of Ghana's sports development resources.
The Ghana Sports Fund was established by Act 1159 of Parliament on 29th December, 2025, with a mandate to mobilise and allocate resources for sports development across all 16 regions of Ghana.
The Fund operates under the Ministry of Sports and Recreation, led by Minister for Sports and Recreation Hon. Kofi Adams. Administrator Dr. David Kofi Wuaku leads day-to-day operations with a mandate of transparency, equity, and performance-driven allocation.
The Fund is governed by a Board of Directors comprising representatives from key sports institutions, government ministries, and presidential appointees. The Board provides strategic direction, approves annual budgets, and ensures accountability through six sub-committees covering finance, audit, grants, resource mobilisation, people, and sports technical matters.
The Board ensures every contribution is allocated transparently and effectively across all 16 regions.
